T. H. E. M. A. R. I. O. N. E. T. T. E. Name: Tobias Eliza Althasson (Call her Tea if you must. She answers to Toby as well, or Tobers) Age: Sixteen Gender: Female Eye Color: Blue Hair Color: Brown Height: 5'6" Weight: 149 lbs Blood status: Muggle born House: Ravenclaw Year: Sixth Play-By: Kaya Scodelario
Canon or Original? Orignial
Appearance: { one or more paragraphs }
Wand Material: 8 and a half inches, Vine, Thestral fang core (inflexible) Wand Expertise: Transfiguration and Charms (favors transfiguration though) Patronus: Buzzard Boggart: Clowns
Personality: {at least 2 paragraphs}
Likes: * Reading (Not surprising seeing that she's in Ravenclaw.) * Having fun. (Toby takes the business of having fun very seriously. She's always thinking up ways to get more and to get her friends into trouble) * Lefty, a tie and dye Brontosaurus plushie that has been charmed into animation. Lefty acts more or less like a very slow but very eager puppy. * Transfiguration. (Toby loves this subject to death and is even thinking of studying up on becoming an Animagus. She hasn't told anyone about this decision yet though, much less chosen and animal form to turn into.) * Professor Remus. (His wand making class is the only class in which she acts like a good little girl and doesn't spew out sarcastic remarks) * The Sex Pistols (Friggin' in the Riggin' is her favorite song and she sings it constantly and at the top of her voice. The more inappropriate the place the better. * Pirates (Treasure Island was one of the first books that Toby discovered and she keeps a worn, dog eared copy in her school bag at all times. It's something she turns to whenever she needs comfort) * Dressing up/Talking like a pirate. (Who doesn't like running around with an eyepatch on and going Arrr! at everything? You could say that she enjoys the annoyed looks that some people give her) Dislikes: ~ Not being able to do magic outside of Hogwarts. (Tea thinks that this is a stupid rule. However will she protect herself from the nosey neighbor next door if she can't hex him into a million little pieces?) ~ Most citrus fruits. The worse being oranges. It only takes a glass of orange juice to irritate Tea's throat and she has never liked that pulpy feeling in her mouth. ~ Herbology. (Alright, she'll be the first to admit that Mandrakes are wicked cool but Tea isn't really the time to spend lots of time in the Green House even if it's full of plants that could eat you) ~ Smug Purebloods. (Mostly they make Tea want to scream. She can't stand their uppity attitudes and she doesn't think that people should be uppity with each other just because their family practices mild incest.) ~ Being afraid of clowns. (Mostly Tea can't stand the fact that she's afraid of anything. She knows that it's highly irrational to fear a man dressed in oversized shoes, wears too much make up and who has a red nose. But you can't pay her enough to be stuck in a room with a clown. They just give her the creeps.) ~ People telling her that her questions are silly. (To Tea, to live is to question so she gets very defensive when people tell her to do as she's told without questioning why. She doesn't appreciate people not giving answers to the questions she poses either)

Sample Post: From CHB. A Shay du Rone post.
Sometime in the wee hours of the morning, Shay du Rone sat up in bed and tried to choke down a scream. She clutched at her bed sheets and trying to calm her racing heart and feeling the cold sweat slide down the back of her neck. As a demi god she had had nightmares before but the one she had just experienced was worse. So so much worse. Staring at her hands, Shay had to force her fingers to unclench and then spent some time trying to force them to stop trembling too.
Spiders. Don't think about it Hundreds and hundreds of spiders. Don't think about it Crawling up her arms, up her legs, weaving through her hair Do. Not. Think. About. It. Don't you dare think Spilling out of her mouth when she screamed. No. No. No. No From somewhere someone was letting out a thin, reedy wail and it took Shay a while to register that it was coming from her. Quickly, she pressed her lips together so hard that white lines formed around her mouth. Someone will see her like this! Like clockwork, her pride spoke up cutting through the terror like a hot knife through butter. One of her siblings will wake up and did she want someone to see her in a shivering, quaking mess? Shay shook her head, as if trying to shake away those horrible mental images and got up. She needed to talk a walk...it would help to clear her mind or take her somewhere private where she could start screaming in peace. Not bothering with shoes, or the fact that she as still in her pajamas, Shay opened the door and came face to face with Chiron.
Her mood was so high strung that she almost screamed. In the end, Shay managed to clamp a hand over her mouth and stared in a dumbfounded way at the camp's activities director. Chiron's eyes were filled with their usual compassion, but they were also full of worry too. "Walk with me Shay." He said softly and there was nothing left to do but follow him. Closing the cabin door softly, Shay followed, wriggling her toes a little as her feet touched the grassy area of the courtyard between the cabins. They walked for perhaps a minute or two in silence before Shay cleared her throat and said,
"There are people, mortals...having nightmares and never waking up again." It was perhaps a few hours before dawn but those words made Shay feel as if sun up was an eternity away. She wanted Chiron to tell her that it was all just some silly dream but her mentor's silence spoke volumes. "Those poor people..." Shay mumbled, her shoulders hunching for a moment before she forced herself to straighten her spine. Yes..what happened to them was horrible but there was a way for her to put a stop to that. That was why she had that dream...and why Chiron was here and why they were ultimately walking towards the Big House. Shay knew what was coming. She had dreamed of leading a quest since she was twelve and now it was finally happening. She had always thought that she would feel happy or rather proud to be given the honor. Perhaps pride would come later, all she felt now was sick to her stomach.
"Do we know what's causing it?" Shay looked straight ahead as they walked. When in doubt ask questions, it was also a way for her to distract herself from her unease. Facts were always safe. The colder and harder they were, the safer they got. "I know that monsters can manifest anytime and anywhere they want...but into dreams?" She looked at Chiron in askance, and noted the worried look on his face.
"It could happen if they were put there for a purpose. If they were created to haunt dreams." Chiron replied after a beat. "And we aren't certain who is the creator." Chiron added even before Shay could ask. "It could be Morpheus." He said contemplatively.
"Or Phobos..." Shay added in the pause and then hugged her arms to herself as the early morning air seemed to get colder. "Well...I know that I can't let it go on." She continued, as the Big House came into view. "After what I've seen happen to those people..I can't just turn a blind eye. Who knows..if I destroy it maybe they'll be set free." Even as she said this, Shay knew that there would be no freedom for some. Reaching their destination, she stepped onto the front porch and turned to Chiron. "I'll take the quest." Saying so seemed like a bit of a formality, since it was already a given that she would be undertaking this task. "I'll see the oracle and get the prophecy." Any other person would not have seen that she was stalling but Chiron did. The centaur reached out and touched Shay's arm and it felt like a blessing. "After you get the prophecy Shay, come and find me." His words were final but encouraging and she turned entering the Big House and making her way up to it's attic.
Once she was there, she opened the door and fumbled with the light switch, though the feeble yellow light that the bulb produced did nothing to make the scene in front of her any welcoming. Closing the door, Shay faced the mummy that was the oracle. What an odd pair they made. One was dead and in a colorful sundress and the other was in pajamas, bear foot her hair in one long braid down her back. "I've come for the prophecy." She said to the oracle and the room full of monster parts and broken weapons. She watched with wide eyes as the oracle's mouth dropped open and green smoke came pouring out of it. Shay had heard of this happening from camper's who had gone on quests but she didn't think that there would be this much smoke. It coiled around her filling her nose with the scent of snakes.
Shay blinked and then suddenly she wasn't alone in the attic anymore. Three other people were ranged around her and though they were smoky and see through she recognized them all.
You shall pass through the gates of the dream lord’s dominion Encounter the horrors of your opinion.
The first was her best friend Vesper. Shay found it highly disturbing to look into the image's dead eyes. Vesper was usually so vivid and wicked and she hoped that the Oracle wasn't trying to tell her something else.
Four will journey where many fears tread To slay the monster and cease the evil spread
The next figure she didn't know that well. Roland...Roland something or other. Shay had only spoken to him a couple of times and she knew that he had a bit of an attitude. And he was also Phobos's son. If it hadn't been clear to her before, the Oracle was certainly showing her who her quest members were going to be. Which made looking at the final figure all the harder.
One will lose, another will gain Two will realize under the rain
"Yes. Thank you." She knew he wasn't really there, but the sight of Sebastian always made her sarcastic remark reflex jerk. "Trust you to have the most useless line.." She huffed and of course got no reaction from the image. She didn't want Sebastian or his crazy Pegasus on this quest..but you try to argue with a corpse.
And under the virgin queen’s sacred territory Brings forth these four all the honor, all the glory
Glory? That sounded good. That meant that they would get out of this alive didn't it? Shay watched as the green mist swirled back into the Oracle's mouth. The scent of snakes receded and she was all alone in the attic once again. Moving quickly she made her exit and went to find Chiron. But before that, Shay came across a group of Satyrs and walked up to them. "Would you please get Vesper Vane, Roland...Roland Prescott and Sebastian Aiden" That last left a bad taste in her mouth. "To come to the Big House please? Its quite urgent. Tell them to pack for a quest." She made sure that the satyrs understood before going on her way, turning the prophecy around and around in her head.
